Everton is a private equity and finance lawyer advising on Cayman Islands and BVI law. He has acted for major financial institutions, corporations and private equity firms throughout Asia, focusing on the establishment of corporate and limited partnership close ended funds, pre-IPO financings by way of preferred shares or convertible bonds and mergers and acquisitions transactions involving inbound investments in the PRC. Everton also has substantial experience of debt and equity capital markets transactions.

Everton was named in the 2010-2011Asian Legal Business Hot 100 list of pre-eminent Asia-Pacific lawyers.

Everton was previously a partner in Walkers’ Hong Kong office and, prior to that, he worked for Maples and Calder in Hong Kong, Shearman and Sterling and Linklaters in London.
